Located in Central Texas, SaveSpot started because of the sad truth that there are many, many, dogs that need help. We realized that a lot of the rural shelters have no funds for medical care or a basic needs. They are also limited by space and foot traffic of those looking to adopt. SaveSpot was established to help these shelters save lives by coordinating and funding transportation of dogs to other shelters and rescue groups that are able to care for them. We also provide fosters, medical care and supplies as needed.  We do not discriminate against dog breeds and rescue dogs of all types.

Completely volunteer run, we have no salaries to pay and our Founders cover the business overhead costs that we do carry. Therefore, all donations go directly to support a dogs path to adoption including veterinary care, transport to other rescues, purchases of dog food and when possible supplies including collars, leashes, beds and treats.

If you would like to make a difference for a homeless puppy or dog and cannot adopt or foster, a financial contribution helps in a big way. We are a 501(c)(3) Non-Profit which means your donations are tax-deductible. This enables us to receive help from our community and greatly increase our ability to save lives.

1 Transportation: Rural shelters commonly transfer dogs to other shelters or rescue groups to create space for new animals or find specialized medical care for the dog. However, transportation can be difficult to arrange or cost too high which forces the shelter to consider euthanasia. We cover costs and arrange safe transportation to the pup's next stop.

2 Medical Care: At no fault of their own, dogs get sick and that alone puts them on "the list." We cover medical costs and get the precious pup one step closer to home.

3 Foster & Adoption: We place the dog with a loving foster and work diligently to find it a forever family

4 Supplies: Dog food, collars, leashes, beds, toys and treats...our founders cover all business overhead so that every dollar donated goes directly to helping a dogs path to adoption
